indeed - I'm afraid I only knew him as Richard Dobson, and can't say I've ever heard of the band, was just trawling the web for old school mates - does he post on here?
Either way looks like he needs a haircut ;D

Don't start a discussion about the hair... you don't want to go there. lol. And no, he doesn't really post on here, he has in the past, but not lately.
Have you listened to his music? What do you think?
Okay, I have to ask... did you hear his band in school? Anal Beard? lol.
Peace, Rotae

tbh he was a good mate at school and was in 'my gang', his parents ran a pub in bromsgrove and we had another mate who ran a pub just outside bromsgrove. We were mates at one private school in Bromsgrove that I was at for two years and then we transferred to bromsgrove (lower) school. After that I moved to another private school outside Bromsgrove and lost contact after that. I don't remember him being in any bands at school as I'm talking early teens at the last point I knew him. To be honest its slightly weird to be talking about someone who you were mates with at school who now has a whole net forum devoted to him (and I'm sure theres more than one) with loads of 'fans' when it was just some bloke I knew. :-)

I'm sure it must be weird for you. We are definitely 'fans' lol. We love his music, it's a pity you didn't hear any of his earlier band, it would have been funny to know What do you think of his music on this site? I think that we're pretty grounded on this board... most of the time lol. We admire him for his talent (shut up Dory, no Moulin Rouge here... lol). I'm sure it must be weird for you. One of my friends has started professional football in Australia (Australian Football) and everone's like 'Wow, he's so good' and personally, I think he's an average player and was a bit of an idiot at times lol. So far as getting in contact with Ritchie goes... I don't know. I'm pretty certain his Mum doesn't own The Crabs Mill Inn anymore... you might like to PM the WM, she might be able to help you, ask Ritchie if he remembers you and get him to get in contact with you. Good luck Peace, Rotae

yep I'd PM admin when I posted this thread and she's just got back to me. The CrabMill is still there according to chap I work with who lives in Bromsgrove, wasn't aware it was a resturant now though! Must try and find some of his music to listen to! - any make the top ten that I might recognise?
Funny thing is a few days after I first posted I'm watching the last detective (for the first time ever as there was nothing else on) and who show's up in the bloddy flash backs?! only him!! (I've seen the other thread regarding this now so won't go on! :-) )

Yes, he's everywhere!! lol. He was also on the original series of 'The Farm'. Um... well no solo work in the top ten... but he was in Five (5ive). Single were... Slam Dunk (da Funk), When the Lights Go Out, Everybody Get Up, Got the Feelin', Until the Time Is Through (he was one of the leads on that), If Ya Gettin' Down, Keep on Movin' (Number 1), Don't Wanna Let You Go (one of the leads), We Will Rock You - Five + Queen (he sang Freddie Mercury's part, Number 1), Let's Dance (Number 1)... Closer to Me. They were all Five. His music is on the website under Media, and there is some in the 'Goodies From the Webmaster/Ritchie' Thread. Hope that helps. I hope you get in contact with him! If there's anything we can do to help, or if you want info, just ask. Peace, Rotae
