On Your Mind 2...

all my life lol i've mainly done short stories and poems, but ive also done a couple of novellas and the one im in the middle of is long enough at the moment to be classed as a novel, but ive not finished it so...its probably going to get a bit longer lol its around 19,300 words at the moment..

i was going to get some of my novellas published, but i can't afford to do it on my own and i dont have a publisher so.... Grrrr hah oh well



yeah thats what i can do to keep me occupied, make up random poems...

ok, *makes one up now* on.....cheese.

This dairy slice
From forth the cows loins it came
To which it fell..
...into the baker's hands
Against its lustful shame.
It succumb to his will
and bent to his gain
Sent off to a factory
to be mixed with the grain.

i think dory's got a creative brain! it takes alot of artistic behaviour and creativity to make up a poem about cheese! lol

i'm thinking about ... sport - got a soccer match tomorrow morning followed by hockey trials, if that doesnt get me fit i don't kno what will!

hi caitlin!i am really worried about my mum at the minute,she is really poorly,i am waitng for the doctor to come and see her,she is having hallucinations and everything,i am really scared.....i have to stay with her all the time....

ok, a short story i did for uni work...we were supposed to write a page's worth of writing about some observations we did at a supermarket...everyone else just described what they saw...apparently i was the only one to make my own story/interpretation out of it instead of just following everyone else...i got top marks for this lol

even though its crap ;D

Shopping for…
He sat at his table, staring longingly into his cup as the tea swirled round and round. He realised that he’d been stirring it for the last five minutes without noticing. Chris was a solitary person, always sitting alone in the café on his break; none of his workmates seemed to want to talk to him. He had worked at Safeway for what, three years now was it? And only once had he made a friend, and even he had gone and left him all alone. As his hand carried on moving the spoon in a circular motion, his eyes wandered around the shop. In front of him he could see a mother struggling trying to get her child to walk in the direction of the exit. The child seemed to be glowing with Christmas expectation yet the mother was looking as though the weight of the world was resting on her shoulders.
“Oi, eejit…ya break’s over mate. Get on the till!” came the call from behind him, Chris ambled over to aisle number 4, sat down on the hard-backed chair and sighed as he put his key in and typed his employee number. “The things I do to earn me some money…”he muttered under his breath. After an hour mindlessly ‘smiling’ at the customers, throwing their items over the scanner and staring into space, he put on his burgundy jacket and headed toward the café. Sat near the window was a girl he’d always admired; some would say had a crush on. Katlin always looked beautiful, even if she was wearing the nasty Safeway colours. She used to be Matthew’s girlfriend, Matthew was Chris’s friend until he joined the army then upped and left town leaving both Katlin & Chris behind. He plonked down in the seat opposite her and smiled as she looked up at him in disgust. In one swift motion she picked up her empty cup and left the table. Putting his elbows on the table, he let his head fall into his hands. He was shopping for dreams…again.
